Black Butte

We had a really relaxing, and fun weekend in Black Butte. Adie and Eliza loved riding the scooters, swimming and just playing with the toys at the house we stayed in. Ryan and I got naps and just had fun watching the girls enjoy themselves.
Eliza was sitting at the table one morning and saw these fawns so she yelled "hey look, camels are out there!"

Eliza spent most of the weekend in this dress

Ashlynn got lots of love from her Grandma and Grandpa

Ashlynn's latest trick, she can sit up on her own now

Ash LOVED the pool

Hunting for butterflies - they needed the helmets "in case the butterflies flied on my head"
We're super grateful to our friends for sharing their house with us this weekend - THANK YOU!!!!!! We loved everything about this weekend.

Walnut Tree

Gus and Vinny - here is the new tree fort, I think you guys are going to like this! This is the old walnut tree at my parents house. It wasn't looking so healthy in its old age so the neighbor and my dad have been working on this tree fort. We all spent many many hours with the Adams boys in this tree growing up. I'm happy the next generation gets to enjoy it as much as we did.

Tried to get a cute picture of Ila to send to Annie - sorry Annie, this is what she gave me

pulling up the basket full of toys and snacks

I also have to add Ashlynn's new trick - she can get up on her knees now, she just doesn't know what to do once she gets up. She is pretty proud of herself and rocks back and forth until she crashes on her face.

Gus and Vinny

We got Carrie, Gus and Vinny for a night this week! Gus explaining the rules

Vinny ran all the way down to the blackberries- can you see him down there?

Gus being crazy on the swing - he even bailed.

As always, Gus is awesome with the baby

Who dresses these girls?

Sweet faces...see Vinny in the background terrorizing the chickens? It took a couple hours but they managed to get all of the chickens in the coop.
I love love love my sibling time and the girls cousin time.

playing

We've been sticking around home during the week lately and the girls are having fun just playing around here. Eliza ready to head over to Donna and Aaron's house
Weird...I don't know why this is flipped this way, I went back twice and turned it

playing in the sprinkler

playing girls in the playhouse with Sarah

I didn't ask them to pose here, Eliza was whining about something and I was ignoring her. When I came back they were standing like this and Adie was saying "It's ok, I'll take care of you" in her most tender voice. I got a pretty good laugh, I interpreted it as "If mom won't take care of you I will"

Ryan's Climb

I love this picture, you can see the shadow of the Mountain they are on over the horizon.

Last weekend Ryan did his first big climb since the girls have been born. Jess, the climb leader gave a pretty cool trip report on his blog, so you can click this if you want to read it. There is a great picture on it of Ryan traversing a ridge - it gives you a good idea of what they had to do on this climb. They did North and Middle Sister in one trip. Ryan has been training but it's been so long he almost didn't think he was going to make Middle after finishing North. But, he did and he loved it. I know from being up there that looking at pictures don't do the views justice. Some of these pictures make my stomach drop just looking at them. It made us excited to get back into it someday, even if it is a few years down the road for me.

group shot

I was trying to get a picture of them all sitting here together, I like how hard Eliza and Adie are laughing every time Ashlynn started tipping over. We're having a fun summer, we were pretty busy last month so it's been nice sticking around home more the last couple of weeks. Adie and Eliza wake up and put their swimsuits on and don't take them off until it's time for bed. We don't even have water in their pool right now. The cutest thing about them right now is how they talk to each other. I tried to get a little video the other day but of course they stop when they see me with the camera. Ashlynn is growing like crazy and getting pretty strong. She rolls and scoots now, it'll be nice when she can sit up because she's at that awkward stage where she wants to be up looking around but can't do it on her own yet. She's still just a mellow little baby -- although she's been a little naughty in the middle of the night this week.

Hillbillie Hang gliders

I had to post this one separately - we had TWO Hang gliders this weekend!
