Opal Skye

Ashlynn and I finally got to meet our new niece Opal this weekend. She is such a little cutie, I can't wait to see these two get to know each other. It made Ashlynn seem huge. I had fun playing with Ila and got some good bonding time with Opal Friday night. It will be fun to tell these two how Annie and I sat up for an hour at 3 in the morning chatting while they were wide awake looking around.

Ashlynn LOVED Rio

and she LOVED Ila, and Ila got a taste of what having a little sister will be like once she starts moving around.

Six Months

Ashlynn is officially six months old! She's a crazy little baby, right now she's into figuring out how to get herself upright. She crawls around looking for something to pull herself up on. She's figured out to go to the kitchen and can get up using the knobs on the drawers. She is so happy. Even in the middle of the night after I've let her cry in her crib for an hour - as soon as Ryan or I would go in she'd quit and give us a big smile and start bouncing around like she wanted to play. Her sleeping was HORRIBLE for about a month. There were a couple of nights where she was up for about 4 hours at a time, not wanting to nurse, just awake. That's why we decided it was time to let her cry. It didn't work very well the first couple of nights when I would go in and pat her or try to nurse her then put her down. So, the last few nights I didn't go in at all. She cries for about 2o minutes once or twice then sleeps until 6:30 or 7:00 and wakes up happy. So hopefully we've got that under control now, and I can start thinking about something other than when I can get a nap in. With the sleeping under control I don't think there's a negative thing to say about this one.

Randoms

These are the last few pictures I took before the camera died, it's in getting fixed again. I really wish I had it this week. Ashlynn will be 6 months next week, infancy is definitely going by faster in my eyes this time around. She's crawling and pulling herself up now, and still not sleeping great. Adie and Eliza are great, they are so funny to watch/listen to when they are playing. Even some of their fights are funny lately... Adie and Ashlynn

I like how Adie and Eliza are playing in the background here

They're both loving riding their bikes, and both still prefer swim suits and princess dresses over clothes. We opened the next box of hand me downs yesterday and Eliza had to sleep in the purple fuzzy gymnastics suit from Ila and told me she will take it off in a couple of days.

Outdoor concerts

We went to a couple of outdoor concerts this summer - the second time we went we found the designated dance area...
