playing
We've been sticking around home during the week lately and the girls are having fun just playing around here.
Eliza ready to head over to Donna and Aaron's house
Weird...I don't know why this is flipped this way, I went back twice and turned it

playing girls in the playhouse with Sarah

I didn't ask them to pose here, Eliza was whining about something and I was ignoring her. When I came back they were standing like this and Adie was saying "It's ok, I'll take care of you" in her most tender voice. I got a pretty good laugh, I interpreted it as "If mom won't take care of you I will"

Ryan's Climb
Last weekend Ryan did his first big climb since the girls have been born. Jess, the climb leader gave a pretty cool trip report on his blog, so you can click this if you want to read it. There is a great picture on it of Ryan traversing a ridge - it gives you a good idea of what they had to do on this climb. They did North and Middle Sister in one trip. Ryan has been training but it's been so long he almost didn't think he was going to make Middle after finishing North. But, he did and he loved it. I know from being up there that looking at pictures don't do the views justice. Some of these pictures make my stomach drop just looking at them. It made us excited to get back into it someday, even if it is a few years down the road for me.

group shot
I was trying to get a picture of them all sitting here together, I like how hard Eliza and Adie are laughing every time Ashlynn started tipping over. We're having a fun summer, we were pretty busy last month so it's been nice sticking around home more the last couple of weeks. Adie and Eliza wake up and put their swimsuits on and don't take them off until it's time for bed. We don't even have water in their pool right now. The cutest thing about them right now is how they talk to each other. I tried to get a little video the other day but of course they stop when they see me with the camera. Ashlynn is growing like crazy and getting pretty strong. She rolls and scoots now, it'll be nice when she can sit up because she's at that awkward stage where she wants to be up looking around but can't do it on her own yet. She's still just a mellow little baby -- although she's been a little naughty in the middle of the night this week.

Weekend of Competition
Not sure why the pictures get so spaced out, sorry about that. And the commentary will really only mean something to those of us who were there...
We hosted a weekend of competition, which turned out to be super competitive. The last time we did this Adie and Eliza were about 5 months old, and the only kids. This year they were the big kids, and there were four more kids 12 months and under. Unfortunately we forgot to write scores down. I'm pretty sure the females came out on top though, considering the guys started with -25 (thank you Ben) and the ladies started with 11 points for each pregnancy, and then each successful delivery. I guess the guys started with -24 since Scott apparently is pretty sure he knows what labor pains feel like, that tummy ache he had was a 10 out of 10 after all.
Opening ceremonies
Event #1 was Hillbillie Horse shoes

You might as well put that tank top back on Scott, Tristan is going to put it in the bucket either way

Eli is sealing the deal here- these two are quite the pair...

Your welcome fellas
Event #2 was knock out

Good thing you stretched Jesse...
somebody needs to get this girl a bigger swimming suit

Pretty sure I nailed this shot even though Jesse tried to take me out moments before

The final 5

Adie and Eliza were TIRED and DIRTY by Saturday evening
Event #3 was cherry seed spitting. It was close between Dave and Katie...
measuring

OK - Dave had the winning spit with something ridiculous like 32 feet
We got a surprise visit from uncle Ben Ben - Adie and Eliza were a little bit excited to see him

Jace wanted to try on a swimming suit
Event # 4 was the egg toss - this was probably my favorite "Short Deb"

Event #5 was Bocci Ball

Most of us ladies decided to sit out so that the guys would actually have a chance to win something

We had a great weekend with everyone here, it's such a fun bunch. And the kids were all awesome, pretty amazing with all of the little kids and we were still able to all get a lot of good games and visiting in. Can't wait for next year. Hopefully the guys work on their game a bit so they at least give us ladies a run for our money.
