Annie and Ila made the long drive this weekend for a fun visit. The girls had a great time together - well
Adie and Ila did. Eliza tried, she was pretty sick (croup) all weekend and didn't have the energy to have fun. It worked out well for me that
Adie had someone to play with -she was in heaven. Eliza was attached to me whining most of the time.
Adie ate it up though, she loved getting time alone with Annie and Ila. Since they left
Adie has been asking when her friend Ila is coming back again. It's crazy how when they were babies the age difference seemed so huge, and every time we see them now the gap doesn't seem quite so big.

It was a really nice weekend for them to be here - Annie pushed them all up the hill for a walk.

Ila loved the chickens and getting the eggs every day. She even let them eat out of her hands.
Adie tried to tell her she had to be careful and not get so close
Adie tried to do a lot of informing this weekend "if you want your
mama Annie to push you on the swing you have to say please" and "if you want to get down from the table you have to say may I be excused can I get down?" It's funny because she's not just letting her know, she repeats it pointing her fingers like she needs a response before she's satisfied.

They got a couple of trips to the swing

But this is what she looked like most of the weekend if she wasn't on my one-week-away-from- birth lap
It's a long trip to drive up here solo with a three year old (even though Ila is a good little traveler) so thank you thank you thank you Annie - we loved it and it happened to be a huge help this weekend.
I just realized I never mention Ryan - it's not like I have to take care of both girls, one sick, super pregnant by myself. He does a lot of playing with them too, Ila always wants him to chase her and she would bring him flowers and cookies while he was outside working -super sweet. Since Annie was here he was able to cut a few truck loads of wood from the trees he cut down last weekend, start to get the garden ready and get the lawn mowed. His next big project (that he's working on now as the girls sleep) is making our office into a bedroom. The projects seem never ending up here and I'm realizing that's the way he likes it - luckily he's good at it =)
