Visit from Guatemala
Jeanette and Willy (Ryan's sister and her husband) are here from Guatemala for two weeks so I've got a lot of pictures to share. We love having them here, it's been fun to see the girls get to know each other. Jessica is so sweet to Adie and Eliza - she likes holding their hands and helping take care of them. She's 3 and a half and it's pretty amazing how well she speaks English and adjusts when she's here. Alyssa has the best little smile, I like when one of the girls falls or whines and she goes over to them to give them a hug and a pat on the cheek. A lot of lovable little girls running around here.

Little Technicians
I found them some new tools so they have been working on their strollers the last couple of days. It's pretty interesting to watch them lately. They play so similarly which shouldn't be a surprise to me since they are always together and watching each other. They love their strollers and dolls still. They walk them around, then stop and take out their baby - kiss it - adjust the blanket and sometimes put a diaper on it. Then today was when they started taking everything out of the stroller, fixing it and then reloading and going for another walk around the house. Today was a good morning for them getting along. They are starting to be pretty exhausting, especially on days we are home all day. I've seen a couple tantrums the last couple days (which I think are funny now but I imagine they will get old quick). I know at least two tantrums were when I cut them off of the cheese. Eliza lays down and kicks and whines and Adie turns red from yelling and pumps her arms as fast as she can. It's pretty easy to distract them still, I can just say "go get me your baby" or "do you want me to tell you a secret?" and they snap out of it and forget they were mad. Another of their favorites right now is their cousin Natalie. A lot of times when we are getting in the car they say "Nat Nat, Nat Nat" or when I ask them what they want to do today I get "Nat Nat" as a response.

Trina and Jesse's wedding
Last weekend our friends Trina and Jesse got married. The wedding was Friday night at her brother's house, then the reception was Saturday in Portland. The wedding was really small, just family and very pretty. Tristan and I weasled our way in by serving a 7 course (3 hour!) meal to the families afterwards.

talking
I was trying to get a video of Adie reading. Of course when I started taping she quit - it's really cute, she just babbles away. You can hear a little bit of her. Eliza is on my lap (sorry for the shaky camera) and was in the mood to talk.
